New Features of the VersaCamm VP models

The VP Series is the fastest and most powerful VersaCAMM model to date, featuring four print heads for maximum print speed and a host of advanced productivity tools. VersaCAMM streamlines the production process by automatically contour cutting printed graphics. For unattended printing, VersaCAMM VPs feature a new heavy-duty optional take-up system supporting media rolls weighing up to 66lbs. for the VP-540 and up to 44lbs. for VP-300. New media flanges hold even the heaviest rolls in place for accurate media feeding through even the longest production runs. ECO-SOL MAX ink dries quickly and offers superior durability and scratch resistance along with brilliant color.

All VP models also include a new 2 Year warranty.

VersaCAMM Does It All

With an integrated media heating system and advanced Eco-SOL INK, the VersaCAMM can print and contour cut durable graphics on both coated and uncoated media. The price of this four-color inkjet is unbeatable, especially when you consider the wide variety of indoor and outdoor jobs it can crank out. VersaCAMM is perfect for creating colorful decals and labels, posters, vehicle and floor graphics, apparel graphics and just about any sign imaginable. And prints are water, scratch and UV resistant for up to three years. *

Low Running Costs

Tested and profiled to perform with the VersaCAMM and Pro II Series printers and printer/cutters, Roland Eco-SOL Media (ESM) includes a range of competitively priced, uncoated adhesive backed vinyls along with other popular substrates. Average running cost (ink and media) is a mere 65 cents per square foot. The VersaCAMM also performs well with select Roland SOLJET Certified Media (SCM); and it is compatible with numerous PCM, PQM and PGM offerings.

Precision Cutting

With the VersaCAMM, you can automatically contour cut printed graphics without having to reload or reposition them. To laminate print & cut graphics, simply remove prints, laminate and reload them for precision cutting. The QuadrAlign™ four-point optical registration system automatically realigns the cutting path and compensates for any skew and distortion. The VersaCAMM also functions as a stand-alone vinyl cutter. This combination of printing and cutting in a single device significantly improves production speed and ease of use.

Safe to Use

Advanced Eco-SOL MAX INK prints with brilliant color without special ventilation or environmental equipment. This mild solvent ink lacks harmful chemicals, such as MEK and Cyclohexane, found in hot solvent inks. Eco-SOL INK is safe to use and virtually odor free.

Built in Heating

An integrated heating system, which can be set from 95° to 122 °F, helps Eco-SOL MAX INK bond to both uncoated and coated media and dry faster. For ease of use, the heating system is controlled from the printer as well as the computer. For energy efficiency, a single source of power runs both the heating system and print/cut mechanism.

Print Quality

The VersaCAMM uses variable droplet technology to precisely control droplet placement in both print head travel and paper feed directions. It can achieve print resolutions up to 1440 dpi.

RIP & PRINT Management Software

VersaCAMM’s bundled Windows® driver makes it easy to print directly from your favorite graphics programs, such as Photoshop and Corel. Roland has also bundled VersaWorks™ with the VersaCAMM, a powerful software RIP that makes printing faster and easier and includes simultaneous RIP & Print capability, enhanced color management, contour cutting and several unique layout options. In addition to Postscript jobs, you can print directly from TIFF, JPEG, EPS, PS, PDF.
