formerly ScanVec-Amiable operate with security devices attached to the
computer. These security devices are known as dongles, hasps and security
keys.
There are two models, older ones attach to a parallel port and the newer ones
are USB.
The following products use these devices:

These software products will not operate without
the device attached to the computer.
Therefore if you plan to purchase one of these fine products from an
unauthorized dealer
commonly found on Ebay, it is important for you to know that many of these
devices
could be temporary devices.
The temporary device will allow the software to
work initially however
it will stop working after some pre-determined number of hours programmed in the
device.
These temporary devices are supplied to customers for various reasons so that
they do not
incur any down-time during a repair, damaged or lost key replacement and some
cases of software upgrades.
We have already had 3 cases of such fraud reported to us in December 2006.
