Subject: My recent order

After talking to a nice man about inkjet supplies (whose name I can't remember), I placed my first order through your website yesterday (Monday). Imagine my surprise when I found it on my front door this morning! From NJ to FL in less than 24 hrs. I just had to write and thank you for your amazing service.

My husband and I are just venturing into a new branch of our business, and the customer service I've been getting from some of the companies I've called has been disgusting. Yours was awesome and I can't thank you enough for it. It has become the make or break point for me in this day and age. You were one of five companies I researched for the supplies we needed, and your helpful advice, great website, and quick delivery has won hands down over the other companies.

Your staff all just seem to go the extra mile.  For example, Renee recently called me to follow up on an order, something she didn't have to do but she did it anyway (i ended up adding something to the order so it paid off for both of us).  Sadly, in my corporate career i saw customer service decline over the years mostly due to reduced staff and the fast pace of the business world.  Your company proves to me that it doesn't have to be that way.  It's so nice to deal with a company such as yours that really puts the customer first.

We purchased one of your Roland CAMM-1 Pro 30” Cutters as well as the Signmate Elite Software.  Additionally, we have purchased just about all our supplies from you and have been extremely happy with our every opportunity to deal with you and your company. 

 My main reason for writing this letter is to tell you that on February 6, 2000, my wife and I flew into New York so that we could come directly to your business and get some first hand schooling on the new software we purchased.

I just wanted to tell you that you have a fantastic help/tech line for the vinyl cutters.  I bought a cutter 2 years ago and really have not used it until now…  Most places wouldn’t even talk to you after all that time.  I had to call three times and each time I talked to a different person and they were absolutely the friendliest and very patient.  I have been contacted by a firm here in Michigan to buy my supplies from them and I choose not to.  It may cost more in shipping but I will continue to buy from you.  And again I have called three times to place my order over two days because I kept forgetting an item or my husband needed another color of vinyl and each time the girl on the phone was so pleasant.  It is nice to deal with a company like yours!!

Remember when we discussing the problems we had right from the start of our business
relationship?You made the comment,"It was going to take alot to make up for that one." Well, consider it done. Last week,I was really having alot of problems getting files through the system.I was dealing with the Cadlink Tec boys.They did ok,when I could get them to return my calls.They got me
through the problem,but I could't "learn" anything from them. Well, by the end of the week,my frustration level was about out of control.

Late fri.,I got hooked with Marty. After a brief conversation in the office,he had me keep in contact by e-mail through the entire week-end.Tim, honestly I learned more from Marty via e-mail this past weekend than I did all the time I spent with the Cadlink crew.Instead of telling me exactly
what to do,he seemed to be able to lay it out in a way that I could see it and use problem solving skills of my own. By sun. afternoon,I was able to look at the situation, I gave Marty my diagnoses. His reaction was "BINGO"!

Hi Tim!  I am the guy from Texas who came to train with the Flexi-Sign Pro.  I just wanted you to know how much Jennifer helped me that day.  I want you to know how much your staff has meant to me over these past few years.  I cannot think of a negative situation with any part of your company.  And, that has not been true of all vendors I deal with for equipment and supplies.  The following is what I put in my report to the District Technology Director:
 
The people at Beacon Graphic Systems were awesome.  It was neat to meet each of the people I have dealt with for sales, tech support, and graphics information.  Jennifer was the young lady who taught me what Flexi-sign Pro was all about.  I began the class being honest with her by telling her I thought the software was a piece of junk.  I challenged her to make a believer out of me.  With it all "said and done" I now realize how powerful this sign making application is for us.  Some of the things the kids and I do in the classroom which we have to work around many barriers to perform can be done in a instant now with this software.  This is a strong intangible asset for any sign making business.  I believe FRHS and the Keller ISD are better off with this hardware/software package.  Not only for our students, but also for the needs our district might have for signs, banners, and graphics.

Last week I purchased a new Dell computer.  After I loaded my programs into the machine, I noticed that FlexiSIGN Pro was not performing as well as it was on my old machine and that I was getting error messages.  I called your technical support line and spoke to Tim Peterson.  Turns out the answer to my problem was not very forthcoming and he needed to consult with Scanvec Amiable.  He did so and got right back to me.  He was able to fix my problem within an hour and now I'm full up and running again.
 
I just wanted to relay to you how appreciative I am to Tim and all of your staff at Beacon.  Your company certainly makes running my company much easier!

Let me add to my down under buddy. I may get off on a rant here, so bear with me. We were in such a bad state with our SOLJET, that we had conversations all the way up to corporate in California. IN fact, we were ready to return it, and our dealer was ready to take it back. How's that for standing behind a product? WE can't believe the dealer would take it back unless Roland stood behind them.

The Roland dealer we chose to buy the machine from has two people full time on staff who do nothing but play with the machines and the media. Their support has been first rate. Yeah, we had a choice of Roland dealers, but service and support beat out price in the end.

When the dealer couldn't/wouldn't help us (rarely) our local Roland regional sales rep stepped in and took care of us. And yes, we even were in touch with the product managers in CA.

So our advice to you is this: Roland and at least the dealer we chose is out there for you. If you are specific about problems, not be a "noodge" with every little one, in other words RTFM and if that doesn't work, then call, Roland responds. After all, they've even open this forum for us to bitch and moan. How many manufacturers do you have that has done that?

When we come across them at a trade show, Atlantic City or Orlando or Vegas, they want us to be their ambassadors of a good product/service. My name is Ed Hart and I am an employee of Ill Eagle Enterprises in Little Falls, NJ. I am an a acquaintance of Dan Ramm and wanted to send an e-mail to let you know how cooperative and helpful he was to me last week. At our office, we do not use our cutter very often. However, last week we needed it to complete a job for one of our larger clients, Arista Records. I realized that our key was broken when I could not get our software and cutter to work properly. I called Dan immediately and he was very accommodating. He is adeptly familiar with the products, is extremely experienced in the field and assisted me in a timely and efficient manner. Dan also lives fairly close to our office and helped us after hours to get the job done correctly and out to customer without delay. Arista Records was very pleased with the end result and our new key should be arriving shortly. I wanted to write a thank you to both your company and Dan for all the help provided to us last week. I really appreciate the assistance and would like to thank you again.

 I just wanted to thank you for the Signmaking Expo.  It was a pleasure to travel a few hours and to be treated so nicely (I am sure that you guys were pulled in a dozen directions but you always took the time to listen).  I finally got a chance to meet our Customer Service Rep (JoanMarie) and the people that I talk to almost every week and to put a face to the name.  It was great to talk with the manufactures as well and let them know what we found out when working with their products.  Also thanks to Marty for getting the VersaCamm there, that is one of the reasons I wanted to make it to the Expo, it is always nice to see equipment in a demo mode before spending the money and now I know we need to save up even more money to purchase the SolJet Pro instead.  I made several contacts there and got to make new friends!  I am sure that we will be making the trip again next year. and plan to visit again in the near future (Art's seminar).  You run a great company and it looks like your employees like what they do and they are so friendly (I always joke with JoanMarie about sending my Resume in but after seeing your operation I'm seriously considering it!).  Keep up the good work.

Thanks Randy at Beacon Graphics! Folks, this guy is awesome, and really knows what he's talking about! I don't know if any of you east coast guys use Beacon Graphics or not, but I would HIGHLY recommend them!

I had a wonderful time. The vendors were very helpful and tipped me off to some ideas that never ocurred to me. I am having a small problem with my Roland SignMate software not working properly because of Windows XP- but tech support is working on it.
